Nablopomo for June: Roots

What is June's theme?
ROOTS

Roots. They're the stories that ground you, the food that returns you, the music that comforts you, and the people who know you. Everyone has roots that influence them, even if they don't consciously know them or can't access them.

This month, we're going to explore your roots. We're going to look back on the people in your family, the places where your ancestors have lived, and the culture that has been passed along to you. We hope you get curious enough to explore your family tree, or maybe even end up planning a trip to a town where your ancestors once lived.
That's from the website.  Here's the explanation in the monthly email.
The food you eat, the stories you tell, the music you hear, the people you love: they are all part of your roots. This month, NaBloPoMo is exploring where you came from because it tells us a lot about where you are now.

Of course, not everyone knows their roots, and sometimes generations-worth of information is inaccessible. But we hope that the collective strength of many people exploring their genealogy together will open doors, or inspire you to follow clues and find out about your ancestry.
Stories, food, music, and people.  I can handle this.
So start thinking about where you've come from and sign up for June's NaBloPoMo.
I did the day I got the email.  Because of that, Crazy Eddie's Motie News is listed sixth from the top on the blogroll.
